Placing your product under a prop in styled stock photos

It has been a long time since I did a video tutorial for my styled stock photos. This time I wanted to do something a little different and show you how to add your own work and make it look as if it is underneath one of the photo props. Can you do it? Have you tried? It can be a little frustrating until you find the right way to do it. The technique I will show you makes your product fit naturally in the photo for a very realistic look.

I have to admit, when I first got into the world of photoshop & styled stock, this one had me stumped. The technique I use is really very simple. You just have to be familiar with layers & have a program like Photoshop, or other editing software that allows for the use of layers. Head over to my youtube channel to see what I mean!

In this tutorial I am placing a printable product under a saucer. I will do some more complicated scenarios in the future, but this is a basic place to start. Not to mention it’s so relevant. Who doesn’t always have coffee or tea around while they work? 😉 You can find this image and many other at CEPStudios on Etsy.
